Warnings

• The item is a powerful UVC module that can be used to disinfect surfaces. It emits at a wavelength of 275 nm, invisible to the human eye.
• It is imperative to ensure that users wear suitable protective clothing against UV radiation at all times. Any skin and eye contact should be avoided.

  • Protective clothing that blocks UV light from the skin
• Wear protective clothing at all times during use and ensure that no other persons are within reach of the radiation source without appropriate safety precautions.
• Light can reflect, so special precautions must be taken with reflective surfaces (e.g. mirrors).
• If skin tissue is exposed to the light source, skin irritation can occur, comparable to sunburn. If necessary, treat the affected areas with a suitable cream or consult a doctor.
• In severe cases, low-wave UV light can cause permanent damage to the retina. It is IMPERATIVE to wear safety goggles at all times when using.

Highly efficient disinfection light for professional applications

The UVC LED module Violet from LUMITRONIX® offers professional users a highly efficient solution in the field of disinfection and decontamination. The LEDs used in the UVC lamp emit a wavelength of 275 nm and thus enable sterilization and cleaning of air, liquids and surfaces. Bacteria, germs and viruses can be reliably killed/inactivated in this way. The product consists of the following components:

• LED module with 12 Seoul Viosys UVC LEDs (275 nm)
• Red, blue and green status LEDs
• UVC FN17294_VIOLET-12X1-S from LEDiL (available separately under item number 36480 )
• Robust aluminum housing

The sterilization module is operated with a constant current of 450 mA. An external controller can be easily connected. The module is therefore aimed at the processing industry, such as lighting manufacturers and companies in the field of medical technology.

The Violet UVC module has a radiant power of 152 mW when operating with a typical current of 450 mA, but can be increased up to 192 mW when a maximum current of 600 mA is flowing. The table below illustrates the surface irradiance with varying distances.

The following table* shows the irradiation time at a distance of 100 mm and an irradiance of 0.81 mW/cm² on a wide variety of microorganisms.

* The dosage specified in the table refers to a wavelength of 254 nm. The irradiation time was converted to the wavelength of this UVC module (275 nm) without taking the spectrum into account.
