Mean Well's LCM-40TW constant current source is suitable for human-centric lighting in accordance with the IEC 62386-209 (DT8) standard defined by the DALI Association. The color temperature is adjusted to a situation or time of day.
The power pack in the plastic housing offers an input voltage range of 180~295 VAC, protection class IP20 and dimming via DALI-2 or push. It allows the connection of Tunable White LED modules (warm and cool white). The maximum power of the two outputs is 40 W. In addition, it is possible to set to DALI DT6 for flicker-free pure brightness control or to DALI DT8 for color temperature control.
With an output current of 500 mA to 1050 mA that can be set using a DIP switch, brightness and color temperature can be controlled or dimmed in a wide range (with a lower dimming value of 0.2%). The color temperature is adjusted by changing the ratio of the driver current of the two outputs. The LED driver with digital lighting control ensures that the color temperature and brightness settings do not affect each other. The no-load consumption is less than 0.5 W. The LED driver has a long service life of over 50,000 hours. Protection features include short-circuit protection, overload protection, and over-temperature protection.
